Real Projects, Real Impact
Our students don't just learn theory—they tackle genuine financial challenges that make a difference. From family budgeting solutions to small business financial planning, these projects create lasting change in Australian communities.
Projects Making Waves
Each semester, our students partner with local organizations to solve real financial challenges. Here's what happened when classroom knowledge met community needs.
Rural Banking Access Initiative
Students worked with three remote towns in Western Australia to develop mobile banking education programs. They created simplified financial literacy workshops that traveled between communities, helping residents understand digital banking and avoid costly fees.
Café Cash Flow Rescue
When local cafés struggled with post-pandemic cash flow, our students designed practical budgeting tools and inventory management systems. The project helped 18 small hospitality businesses stay afloat during tough times, preserving jobs and community gathering spaces.
First Home Buyer Navigator
Students created a comprehensive guide and calculator system to help young Australians navigate the complex first home buyer landscape. The tools simplify government grants, calculate true affordability, and provide realistic savings roadmaps tailored to different income levels.
Retirement Planning Workshops
Working with aged care facilities across Bunbury, students developed workshops that help seniors understand their financial options and protect against scams. The program covers superannuation, pension planning, and recognizing financial fraud—all delivered in plain English.
